Rationale for Integrating the Arts into the Curriculum

Integrating the arts into the curriculum is an interdisciplinary approach to learning across the curriculum. It is valuing the Multiple Intelligences of each individual.

We must address the whole child encouraging life long learning through the lessons of creative thinking as an intrinsic way of life. Right brained learning is as valuable as math and sciences.

"Imagination is more important than Knowledge." Albert Einstein

A balanced approach brings harmony in life. We must have a balance of approaches to educating students to being lifelong learners. We should not abandon children whose interests and talents lie through their creative response to their experiences.
At the same time, as shown through history, often it is creative thinking that makes the scientific discoveries, and solves the mathematical theories.
